Who doesn't love champagne and strawberries?

The BF and I had a champagne and strawberry party on our patio. It was beyond tasty and we documented it all.

We really love the macro setting on the camera - it allows for so many artsy-fartsy pictures.

Hump Day

Hello world.

I have neglected my blog all week. Boo to me.

I did make a really sweet necklace (if I say so myself). It reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night or a mermaid tail.

I LOVE it and think it is one of my new favorites.

You can view the full listing here.

I also had a fantastic bottle of wine tonight. (No, I didn't drink the entire bottle by myself). It tasted more expensive than it actually is.

Yum!

What a way to start the weekend

The Treasury and Treasury West opened up late last night. I missed getting one to curate myself, but I am featured in the Treasury twice!

I also bought this amazing scarf from Phydeaux.

The Teal Chocolate Elegance Scarf is too beautiful for words, so soft and the craftsmanship is superb.

Run to this shop and get a new scarf for yourself.

Peachy goodness

New earrings everyone!

I have been busy making new jewelry pieces for a custom order, but found a few minutes to squeeze in the time to make this new pair.

They are simple and sweet - perfect for the warm weather that is on the way.

Okay, just one more

I am double posting today - back to back!

I listed a new necklace in my shop today and the colors I used inspired the Treasury I curated today. Blue and brown is one of my most favorite color combinations.

Chocolate Ice

I just love being a part of CCCOE - California Crafters Club of Etsy. I suggest that everyone check out all of the amazing shops that are members of this awesome Street Team.

With that said, I landed myself a sweet Treasury and of course made sure to include some of my favorite shops from CCCOE. Unfortunately my shop hasn't made it onto the list just yet, but I believe that more shops are being added as I type.

Green is the theme

I have some new pieces in my shop that I made from a huge assortment of Czech glass beads and they happen to be predominantly green. So, quite a few of my new pieces are in the green family. It works out though since Earth Day is in April - Go Green!

This is my Earth Day inspired necklace.

In the spirit of Earth Day, here are some tips to get more Green:

- Conserve fuel by turning down the heat at night and while you are away from your home or install a programmable thermostat.

- Use compact fluorescent light bulbs.

- Buy locally — not only is it good for the local economy, it will save energy because products haven’t traveled across the globe to get to you.

- Avoid the use of aerosols.

- Ensure you have good ventilation and balanced humidity in your home to prevent the growth of mould and mildew, which can be harmful to your health.

- Take your own bags to the grocery store. If you take plastic bags, use them until they are worn out.

- Always use reusables mugs, lunch containers, batteries, pens, razors, etc.

- Replace paper products with reusable ones (use recycled, non-chlorine bleached paper when you do have to use paper).

I know there are a million more great tips out there to help everyone be more Green. Send me yours and I will add it to my list here.

Friday Night with Professor Plum

I was on a crazy Treasury kick for a while and overdid it a little, so I decided to give the obsession a rest. I couldn't stay away forever though, so here is my newest Treasury West and of course it it dedicated to my favorite people at the California Crafters Club of Etsy (CCCOE).

It was professor plum in the study

LOVE these

These new earrings are to die for! I almost want to keep them for myself.

I got a really fantastic assortment of earth toned czech glass beads and decided to make a dramatic pair of earrings with them. They will be a super one of a kind item. I don't think I would ever be able to find all of these beads individually.

Check them out before they are gone.

More Awesomeness

I made a new pair of sparkle pretty dangle earrings and they are my first custom order. I really like them a lot and I plan on making a similar for my Etsy shop.

My creative juices have really been flowing lately, which is great, because I have been going through a bit of a dry spell. I don't know about everyone else, but my creativity seems to come in spurts rather than a consistent steady stream. I wish I could tap into it all the time, but I guess my inspiration can't be turned on and off like a light switch.

I can't believe that it is already April. Holy Moly!!! Where is the year going? I wish I could make it s-l-o-w down. Just a little bit.
